Alison trained as a reflexologist at the highly respected and internationally recognised Oxford School of Reflexology, and she qualified in 2004.

Alison is a full Member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR). The Association of Reflexologists (AoR) is the UK's largest governing body for reflexologists, and ensures all its members are trained to the highest standards. Alison holds a Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology, awarded by the AoR.

Alison has qualified and registered as an Advanced Reflexologist – ART (Regd), after further training and assessment with Tony Porter and Hagar Basis. Tony has been practicing reflexology since 1972, and he has a busy international practice as well teaching in both the UK and abroad. ART registration is only available to fully qualified reflexologists who have attended post-graduate training in the ART techniques and successfully completed the registration exam.

Alison has undertaken specialist training and further study to obtain the Certificate of Competency in Maternity Reflexology. She undertook this training with Susanne Enzer, herself a midwife and reflexologist of many years standing. Susanne teaches, lectures and writes extensively on this subject.

As part of her ongoing commitment to further her reflexology practice, Alison undertakes Continual Professional Development (CPD) work, which is a requirement of her membership of the AoR. She attends conferences, seminars, workshops and training days as necessary. She holds an Emergency First Aid certificate and is fully insured to practice reflexology, pregnancy reflexology and Indian head massage.
